Caerleon - the most amazing Roman site in Britain

Caerleon, just north of Newport is a fascinating place to visit for the Roman remains, larger than life size wood sculptures around every corner. The one in the church yard depicting two people hugging is a surprise and delight.
There are surprises around every corner, including the mosaics either side of the town hall front door shown below:




There's  a map of the town, available in many pubs and shops. The Priory has a lovely garden to eat in if you go on a fine day. For a closer look at what's on offer  visit: www.caerleon.net
